The research brief—-Medical Harm: A Taxonomy is one of the best articles that I have read on medical harm. My husband’s prostate cancer was missed on pathology Jan. 2014. The cancer was not discovered until 11 months later. By that time, it had metastasized. The public knows absolutely nothing about medical errors. Any other epidemic of this proportion would be on 24/7 broadcast news. Why is it kept such a secret?
